If you are in a non-Chinese environment, it is very difficult for you to study Chinese systematically. As far as I know, English is the sole language as a second language taught in class systematically in the whole world. Even for those Chinese in a country like US and Canada where most of people speak non-Chinese, their children study Chinese in class for at most half a day in the weekend. For people whose mother language is not Chinese, it is very expensive to hire a Chinese tutor or to study in China or other countries and areas where Chinese is a major language. However, if you can get the help from a native Chinese with Chinese studying, you can improve your Chinese much more quickly than teaching by yourself. Actually, some Chinese would love to teach you Chinese even for free if you can help them with English. If you are interested in the Chinese-English exchange program and want to get involved in, simply reply to the post.
