Compared to Orchids popular in US and Europe, such as Phalaenopsis and Cymbidium, Chinese orchids are smaller in both the whole plants and flowers. But the flowers of Chiense orchids are fragrant.

Chinese orchids are a part of the Chinese culture. Traditionally, many educated Chinese like to culture some Chinese orchids in house. Rich people liked to collect both drawings and Chinese orchids.
