Hengshan Road was Petain Road in the famous French Concession District. Xujiahui Commercial Center is in its south. Fashionable Huaihai Road shopping street is in its North. Hengshan Road is a quiet channel between the two prosperous regions and demonstrats the elegance and calmly side of Shanghai. Booths on both sides are covered by a layer of green for its hazy veil. Walking in Hengshan Road, you can see quiet buildings with greens from time to time so that you forget the noise from the city and have a good rest.

Most of the buildings along Hengshan Road have the European garden style.

The characteristics of leisure in Hengshan Road is the casual culture. Painting and Calligraphy Press and Xinhua News Agency are all located here. It is a good place to buy music, books, and art works. A wide variety of bars are gathered in Hengshan Road. Food from the world is universally harmony: "Stone baked rock" from Australia,  "Restaurant Friday" from the United States,  "geo-lu sushi" from Japan, "Thai Restaurant" from Thailand, and so on.

Zapata’s Mexican Cantina- Shanghai. In Mexico a cantina is a place where people gather to celebrate not just special events but to keep abreast with what is going on in their community. It is a place where one may enter a stranger but never leaves one. Where friendships are made and strengthened over years through great food, cocktails, conversation and dancing.

Tao Jiang Road , just off Hengshan Road, is where you'll find O'Malley's Shanghai- Irish Pub and Restaurant, discretely located in the heart of the beautiful old French Concession area in Shanghai. This double-story pub is the first traditional Irish pub in Asia and even today still sells the most Guinness in China. Our pub caters to all tastes and requirements. So, whether it be live music, live sports, a beer garden, darts, a game of pool or a traditional fireplace you ’ re looking for, you ’ ll find it in O’Malley's.
