Here are a few tips for choosing a travel route in China:

1. Do not schedule a trip to China during China national holidays, especially Spring Festival.

2. You can take buses and subways to almost all of the scenic spots in Shanghai, Beijing, Wuhan, and Chongqing. You can even walk to certain places. Taxi is the last choice.

3. Do not eat in any vendor's stand on streets, especially around a bus or train station.

4. Keep a bag of tissues in your bag because in China, most of restaurants and toilets donot provide tissues.

5. Do not have to pay tips though you can if you want to.

6. Price negotiation is normal in small stores. You can cut the price to a half or even one third. In some cases, it is not impossible for one to buy something with one tenth of the labeled price.

7. Be careful and look to both sides before you cross a street.
